Can Kira calculate project costs? What about dispersed workers?

Absolutely. Set your company’s default currency. On everyone’s HR page, put their hourly rate and payment currency.
The time and cost associated with each ticket can be recorded in the ticket. Costs are calculated for projects, tickets, customers, sprints, products, and features. (Currency conversion rates need to be added/adjusted manually.)
Can you tell me about Kira’s permissions, especially if we are talking about hourly rates and ticket costs?
Financial information on tickets is hidden unless you have the correct permissions and access to HR pages. There are different permissions for various features. If you find the permissions need further refining, we can do that.
How is Kira different from other project management applications such as Jira?
  1. Price. It’s aimed at developing world software teams. There is no free option, but as we know, free options are often so cut-down that they aren’t useful. Kira is low-priced but full-featured.
  2. Kira is laser-focused on software development. It’s developed internally by Uptivity to create many of Uptivity’s software applications. It is particularly useful for distributed/remote development teams. If you’re a software development business, you’ll want this.
Does Kira take into account dependencies? For example, if Dave needs to do testing only after PHP developer Katie has finished, she can’t start until the front-end developer Susan has completed her work. If one in the chain is delayed, what does Kira do?
Nothing. Kira works for developers, project managers and management. A project manager must still adjust resources according to the latest information about delays and priorities.
