The Uses And Best Examples Of CMMS

Organisation is important, perhaps one of the most important aspects of ensuring a business runs smoothly. I know the difficulty of juggling lots of constantly changing variables. While I can’t speak for what it’s like to run a business, trying to keep things in order is difficult no matter what situation you’re in. That’s exactly why asset tracking and management software has become more and more impactful as time progresses.

Picture, for example’s sake, someone who runs a construction company- maybe you’ve clicked on this article because you are that someone. They’re required to keep track of every tool, vehicle, key, and material they own. Trying to easily store all that information and data on paper is a waste of time and effort for you and your staff. Digital stores exist, such as Microsoft’s Excel, but those manual solutions still use up valuable time- along with being inconvenient to use. So, what other option do you have?

What software should you invest in?

In the modern day, there’s a near endless number of ways to organise and track your assets; Asset Panda, Manage Engine, PulseWay, and a million more that would take far too long to name. If you’re familiar with this site or with Uptivity, then you can probably see what I’m getting at.

I want to be clear that I don’t work for Uptivity, but I am writing this article while undergoing work experience at their company. So, take my opinion with a grain of salt when I recommend their MaintainPad software over all those examples- along with any others I’ve neglected to mention.

Features of MaintainPad:

To start, MaintainPad’s work order management system simplifies the process of task delegation to increase your efficiency. Smartphones are used to distribute and confirm the completion of work orders, reducing the need for excess paperwork and file sorting. With this feature, the stress of organising and delegating jobs is reduced to just the click of a button.

There’s more, with predictive and preventative maintenance software, you can optimise your repairs and ensure you get the most out of your equipment. By doing so, the requirement to replace expensive technology lessons, saving you time and money normally needed to keep everything in working order. When combined with the work order system, repairs can be performed and recorded seamlessly, without disruption to the rest of your business.

In addition, it has everything you could need for asset and inventory management, from QR code and barcode integration to automated repairs. Plus, it includes key tracking and management software, for ease of use, security and organisation. I could list more of MaintainPad’s many features, but by now I’m sure you understand it’s extreme versatility and utility.

Why use MaintainPad?

The obvious question then is, why not use one of the many alternatives mentioned above? The likely reason you are looking for equipment management software in the first place is because it provides convenience, something that MaintainPad possesses more of than your average asset management system. Platforms like Asset Panda don’t provide GPS tracking, a feature available with Uptivity’s software. There’s quite a substantial difference between knowing if an employee has taken out an asset and knowing the exact location of that asset- if only for the peace of mind that improved security grants.

If you’re looking for more than just that, then consider your budget. Well-known companies can get away with charging extortionate prices, but there’s another option that’s far fairer to you. MaintainPad (just like Asset Panda) scales its price based on the number of assets you have, not the size of your business or how many people work for you. This ensures you are provided a service that gives you what you require, without hampering your business’ progress or leaching from your profits.

Note: The above comparison is taken from online reviews of these products, some data points may be subjective.

The cherry on top is something Uptivity provides entirely for your benefit, customer support. Instead of never-ending cycles of bots and hold lines that don’t go anywhere, Uptivity provides support for humans, by humans. If you contact, you’re connected to a real person who might be able to give you your answer then and there- ensuring you get what you pay for. This unparalleled support is paired with customisation to guarantee that the product you are given works for you.

So, is MaintainPad right for you? I can’t answer that question for you, but I can provide you with the means to find out the answer for yourself. Book a demo today and find out if MaintainPad suits the needs of your business.
